TERRITORIAL LANGUAGES AS A EMPLOYABILITY TOOL FOR ADULT PEOPLE

Unemployed adults, migrants and refugees face multiple difficulties to return to the labour market. Their limited knowledge of other languages and ICT stand out among them.Free movement of workers is the priority treatment of the European Union. Nevertheless, curricular requirements are not enough when they apply for a job in a foreign country. Social and educational integration in the new territory is also required to increase the possibilities to get a job. The knowledge of territorial languages can ease the social integration and represents a curricular advantage raising adult people employability. “Territorial Languages as a employability tool for adult people” is a strategic network of educational organisations searching to increase employability and inclusion of adult people by use of multilingualism, digital competences and ICT benefits.These objectives meet the Commission Document: "Language Competences for employability, mobility and growth" that highlights the importance of multilingualism as an advantage in European economical competitiveness and people's mobility and employability, the "Council Resolution on a renewed European agenda for adult learning", as well as “Europe 2020” strategy, being one of its objectives to raise the employment rate of the population aged from 20 to 64 to, at least, 75%.A partnership of minority language learning and adult people educational organizations has been created in order to carry out this ambitious project. All partners have European establishment, wide experience creating educational tools, materials ans innovative methodologies. Some of them have also influence in European policy regarding this matters. This partnership is formed by Acció Cultural del País Valencià -ACPV-(Spain), European Language Equality Network -ELEN-(France and EU), Smallcodes -SC-(Italy), The Hungarian National Council of Transylvania -EMNT Association-(Romania) , Conradh na Gaeilge (Ireland and UK).The use of ICT, the exchange of experiences and collaborative learning will represent the main tools to reinvent language learning methods for adult people, leaving behind the obsolescence of the old ones and designing new methods to increase adult people employability.Thus, high quality intellectual product will be created:MULTILINGUAL VIRTUAL E-LEARNING ENVIRONMENT FOR MINORITY LANGUAGES FOR INCLUSION AND EMPLOYABILITYA unique 3.0 environment that will use specifically created ICT as well as podcasts, audiovisual media, multimedia, blogs, social networks and the new syllabus created by this project. To carry out this project four transnational meetings will be held to exchange the best practices in adult people innovative education, linguistics education, the use of ICT in learning process and their influence in employability growth. Several virtual meetings will be held to coordinate and distribute team work as well as three multipliers events in order to disseminate and increase the impact of project intellectual outputs.The whole project management, distribution of tasks and responsibilities, collaborative work and exchange of the best innovative practises between partners will be done following the principles of participation and equity, trying to take the highest benefit of every partner experiences in every scope of work.During project development and after it, every partner will make a strong effort to foster the impact and the outcome of the project by disseminating the aim of the project with the help of its structure and using the project intellectual outputs in their academies. ELEN will be responsible to ensure the impact of this project since it represents 42 language communities in 21 European states and has consultative status with the European Parliament, the Council of Europe, the UN, UNESCO and the OSCE.The project expects to continue its impact to finally become an important tool in Europe, bringing together all European minority languages and being an engine to increase the employability of the adult people.
