PROJECT
FINISHED
Project ALPTER has been built to contrast the disappearence of agricultural terraced areas: a problem of great span, with consequences as loss of productive land and increase of natural hazard, damage to bio-diversity and cultural heritage; so much to deserve attention of international institutions as UNESCO and UNCCD.Working in areas all over Alps, the project will collect knowledge, develop technologies and produce examples of productive recovery to prompt large-scale transformation. To the same end the project will build a network to put in contact different subjects interested in this topic, promoting exchange of information and active synergies.Step-by-step strategy of the project: - acquisition of the base knowledge necessary for recovery- development of innovative technologies designed for terracements- pilot works to produce representative examples of recovery- construction of a network, linked to global ones (Mountain Partnership, UNCCD)- diffusion of project results among institutions and stakeholders
