Description TV-Ring, testing advanced network infrastructures and Connected TV applications.The TV-Ring project joins European broadcasters, research centres, software developers and service providers with a common objective: to develop and test applications and infrastructures that will shape the future internet-based television, aiming to deliver high quality services and offer innovative contents on the top of traditional broadcasting. The project will explore the great potential of next generation networks and mobile devices in the Connected TV market, which is a strong focus of interest for the media industry. TV-Ring will deliver new HbbTV applications & services and it will perform large scale pilots in Germany, Netherlands and Spain through the public broadcasters participating in the project.  TV-Ring , through its Open Connected TV Stakeholders Forum, will be also used as a platform to share and catalyze the adoption of the HbbTV standard. Thanks to this forum,  agents from the broadcasting sector in Europe will have the chance to share their knowledge and views about the future of the television.
