The "Verein für beherzte Gesprächskultur und Selbstermächtigung" - "Association for courageous / heartful communication and empowerment" raises awareness about a new culture of collaboration, which is in our view a necessary answer and reaction to the current crisis of democracy and many other areas of life.To react to the challenges which are more and more constituted in a transnational manner - such as the refugee crisis, crisis of trust in institutions such as the EU - the association plans to start projects on a EU-level in the future. To expand its network and get in contact with organisations working in the field of adult education and dealing with new forms of collaboration in other countries of the EU, the association sends 3 members - Florian Sturm and 2 still to be defined - to the conference "Hosting Transformation Days 2016" in Berlin, organised be the Academy of Visionautics. Another aim for the conference is to start an exchange of experience with the organisations present at the conference and exchange information about effective and innovative methods of communication, supporting empowerment and facilitating innovation.The members of the association which are sent to the conference have experience in the fields of moderation, process consulting and facilitation. Important aims of their activities in Austria are raising awareness and disseminating methods which empower individuals and enable authentic exchange between alle people. They are working in this sector and have a need for networking, exchange of experiences and information about new methods and possibilities for projects on a EU level.Due to the extensive experience of the Academy of Visionautics and the organisation "International Partnership for Transformative Learning" (IPTL) which sends its members to the conference the conference is the perfect place for the association to find out about effective and innovative methods in the context of communication, innovation and empowerment to evaluate and use them further in own activities. The organisations taking part in the conference are pioneers working for a sustainable world and the association can without doubt get much inspirational input during the shared time at the conference on which possibilities there are for project on the EU level and in which competences the association should invest in the future.Taking part at the conference offers to the association an entry point to future work on the EU level. In the middle run this should lead to joint projects with member organisations of the IPTL. In the long run it should lead to connecting the sectors of Austrian adult education, moderation and democratic participation better with the EU level.
