Techniques and methods for climate change adaptation for cities

The Consortium formed for the Techniques and methods for climate change adaptation for cities ("3C for Sustainable Cities") under the Tempus Public Foundation consists of two top level educational institutions and one regional private company, furthermore two remarkable representatives of national municipal water utilities.The project aims to transfer know-how for climate change adaptation to Hungary and Romania consists of methodology/approach for topic analyzes, scenario building technique, LLL educational materials and also a guide for local handbook(s), which based on several existing project results of DHI Czech office which describe to municipalities how they can plan and mitigate the impacts from climate changes and what actions and measures are to be prepared to get adapt to the phenomena. All knowledge is based on the word-wide accepted state-of-the-art knowledge of ICCP (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Changes) knowledge. The sector affected basically will be the same as on which the transfer originates although the use for other (e.g. industry and agriculture) is aimed to be shown and dealt.
