The project aims at comparing higher education standards and programmes in the area of construction engineering with regard to the new technologies and innovations, reviewing competencies related to research and innovation obtained by construction engineers through higher education, and on this basis suggesting a model of curriculum for innovation development. Project results include: a report on existing practices in education and training in innovation and technology transfer in construction, a report on the model of quality standards of training in higher education, a model of construction masters degree programme focused on innovation adaptations. The products are primarily designed to students, teachers in construction engineering, enterprises, construction engineers. Dissemination is planned through workshops, newsletters, specialised publications. The longer-term impact is expected to be mainly in improving competitiveness, productivity, innovation transfer and quality of higher education in the European construction sector.
