„Teach yourself” is a project about how much we are aware of possibilities to find new experiences and educate oneself out of the formal system. The project will take place in Riga, the capital of Latvia, and will gather around 30 young people from Russian-speaking minority of the country, who will have the opportunity to take initiative in their own personal education.Provided with necessary support, young people in small groups will choose and investigate one specific competence of their interest, collecting necessary knowledge, acquiring skills and developing attitudes & values. The next step will be for them to facilitate the development of this competence for the rest of the group via non-formal education approach and methods.By taking responsibility for their own education, young people will acquire unique experience, useful not just for their future career, but also for each of them as a life-long learning person.
