The project aims at the development of adequate language skills for persons running small tourism enterprises by offering suitable language courses using Open Distance Learning (ODL) and the innovative approach of Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL). Primary target groups are persons running SMEs in the tourist sector, teachers and trainers, as well as secondary target groups like tourism agencies, VET institutions, etc. The planned activities consist in the survey of language courses of other EU projects, needs analysis in partner countries, design of language courses, integration of materials and courses into the partner networks. Expected results are a report dealing with methodological and pedagogical language approaches on internet and in print, pilot courses for entrepreneurs in tourist SME, manuals, evaluation reports. The impact of these activities and results will be the promotion of life long learning for the target group as well as enhancing their competences, thus improving their customer base and better operation of their enterprises. Language teachers and trainers will receive up to date methodological and pedagogical skills in addressing these specialized groups in VET. The valorisation strategy foresees an ongoing process based on a project website (offering details of project, participants and their roles, links to training organisations), available for free download and maintained at least two years after the end of the project. Targeted languages are EN, ES, DE, IT. Participating countries are DK, ES, IT, LU, AT, PL, SK, SE, UK, RO.
