The project was born from the need to improve the existing knowledge of the English language of our school teachers.The main objectives of the project are:-the improvement of language skills of the participants in English-the increase of their professional development opportunities, provided by their skills certification-the maximization of their personal satisfaction and self-esteem-the understanding of the multicultural society in Europe, the European education policies and the national education systems-the encourage for the exchange of good practices and the adoption of innovative forms of teaching.The plan will involve 10 permanent teachers of our school, who hold certification for the use of the English language at medium and lower levels.The activities of this project include:A. Inter-school training - disseminationThe methodology used in the project includes:1. Definition of the project (detailed description, objectives, implementation process, cost, time and economic constraints)2. Programming of the project (phases analysis, time and financial programming, prioritization, schedules and supervisory system for compliances with the timetable)3. Project Evaluation (initial, formative, final).The expected learning outcomes for the participants are:-Training of the practical use of the English language in order to effectively respond to the implementation of European programs and tasks, seminars or corporate programs.-Strengthening and updating of their knowledge of modern educational data since the opportunity to improve their language skills will enable them to seize material from international educational portals or platforms.-Improvement of their professional skills in order to organize a learning environment focused on students' individual needs.-Dissemination of their language and intercultural experiences with colleagues at school and others in Greece and abroad, through the eTwinning platform and the Facebook.-Awareness of the importance of lifelong learning.The impact of the project includes:A. For the participants:-improvement of their language skills in English-prospectives for their professional development-improvement of their teaching quality through the exchange of good practices-interest in lifelong learning-motivation increase from the satisfaction they get from their daily work-understanding of the interaction between the formal and informal education-promotion of the European dimension and orientation-understanding, tolerance and respect for social, multilingual and multicultural diversity in Europe-strengthening of the sense of common European culture and heritage-development of their European identity alongside with their local and national one-adoption of European solidarity and cooperation values-entrenched attitude and perceptions change-development of their social skills and broadening of the partnerships with local and national education providers.B. For the school community (teachers, students and parents):-development of their knowledge of the English language for innovative cooperative forms of teaching and learning materials collection from the Web-increase of the capacity of the school unit to operate at a European and international level-transformation of the school community into a modern and dynamic one, which will incorporate new practices and manage the added value for the benefit of the students and the professional development of the teachers-dynamic development that will positively affect the school extroversion-extension of management experience in taking European funded projects-participation in conferences and publication of articles in peer education journals.C. For the target groups:-awareness of all the education providers for the benefits of action and awareness of the European dimension of education-involvement of all the school students (247 people) in innovative forms of teaching and learning-awareness of school parents for the changes in teaching practice and the spherical development of their children.A long-term benefit of the project is the school to become a training institution, a pioneer in creating learning opportunities for all, and this will be achieved through continuous exploitation of the project results and dissemination of the new knowledge inside and outside the school.
