Start date: Dec 1, 2014, End date: Nov 30, 2015 PROJECT  FINISHED

The project "Training in Europe as a strengthening the development of the region of Lublin" is designed for students from our vocational school in the professions of: Environmental Protection Technician, Wood Technology Technician and Geodesist Technician. In the statistical terms Lubelszczyzna is the least developed region of Poland. It is characterized by the highest in the country- more than 30% risk of poverty indicator. In the Strategy of Lubelskie Province for the years 2014-2020 it is claimed that: indirect benefits resulting from membership in the European Union are underestimated especially in the form of: “technology import, knowledge transfer, open labor market, youth exchanges”. Lubelskie Province belongs to the stagnation region "characterized by" the syndrome of underdevelopment "which includes the low level of education and qualification of human resources, low productivity, low quality of teaching”. One of the weaknesses of the region is the mismatch between the offer and the process of education (vocational education) to the challenges and needs of modern society, low mobility, little involvement of the population in the process of learning and renewal of their qualifications, and obsolete educational base in vocational education. The reason for the low interest in youth education techniques is the lack of jobs, as well as the prospects of obtaining it. The school educates young people from rural areas, mostly from poor families, and often pathological traits. Students are at risk of falling out of the education system and social exclusion. There is a need to strengthen social and professional position of students. One of the conditions for sustainable socio-economic development is the development of modern society able to function in a knowledge-based economy. The objectives of the project are: 1. support the potential development of the region and the adaptation of education and training for the economic development strategy of the Lublin region 2. developing partnerships between vocational education and employment 3. developing basic and transversal skills such as entrepreneurship, digital skills and multilingualism in education and practice. 4. developing appropriate methods of assessment and certification of outcomes-based teaching and the use of instruments which recognition of skills and qualifications outside the country. A group of 30 participants of the project are students technicians TOŚ, TG, TPD, who are currently at the initial stage of vocational education. In most families, there is the problem of unemployment, low income and low education of parents. The social problems of students families cause no comprehensive satisfying the needs of a growing and maturing adolescents. It leads to the lack of access to resources, goods and institutions, restriction of social rights and needs of depravity, and consequently to social exclusion. Due to poor conditions, young people are less mobile and creative, and it greatly reduces their intellectual and professional development. The school second mandatory language is German, but with a small amount of teaching hours and insufficient vocabulary section devoted to training. Training based on local capabilities and their organization does not cater to all needs. This is due to low expenditure on the organization of school workshops. The low level of practical training and a small investment in the development of the education cause loss of interest in youth education in vocational schools. Consequently, this may result in the collapse of the vocational education and deficit mean technical staff. Participation in the project and the realization of the objectives will help to reverse this unfavorable trend. It is necessary to awaken and manufacturing activity and creativity among participants. The results of the project are: to increase the interest of young people vocational training, employability through work experience, acquire industry professional language skills. Permanent results of the project will be language skills in the professional vocabulary, which, combined with mobility facilitate the search for job after school on the European labor market. We also expect the results in the form of gaining additional skills, and with that increase opportunities for employment in partner factories of our school. The exchange would take place in the summer of 2015. Youth, after earlier language and cultural training would have gone to the town of Bad Freienwalde. The training programs have been agreed with the German employers in the Agreement on the Program Coursework(project implemented based on the system ECVET) During the month of stay in addition to youth work, language and cultural classes will be implemented. Its aim is to get to know the region of Brandenburg. Implementation and dissemination of the project results will positively affect the development of students personalities and the development of the school in the Lublin region.
