PROJECT
FINISHED
Taking into consideration the functioning of the modern technical school, we diagnosed the problems and needs of our school. They concern the inadequacy of the language command of our staff. The needs of the school are mainly related to the preparation of young people for full and conscious participation in the European labor market. Our task is also to prepare open to multiculturalism citizens. In order to accomplish the stated needs, a project has been created, whose main goal is to prepare teachers to enable them to serve as tutors and mentors in the planned mobilities of the youth and to be leaders in the process of education in the modern, common Europe. We hope that this will result in experience swap with other European institutions of this type. The modern teacher should consciously participate in the achievements in the field of education, culture and science, and increasing the language competence will provide a greater opportunity to achieve these goals. The beneficiaries of such actions will be not only teachers, but as a consequence the students of our school, who will reap the benefits of international cooperation.
To participate in the project we have selected the teachers that meets the following criteria:
- Awareness of the needs of their own development;
- At least communicatively speak a foreign language;
- Are ready to share possessed skills;
- Have the personality traits to serve as mentor / tutor.
As a result of the above criteria we have identified a group of .... people.
To implement the objectives four actions were set out :
1) Improving the language skills of teachers in the context of participation in language courses and preparatory actions conducted on school grounds;
2) Development in language teaching methodology of the teachers of foreign languages through participation in methodological courses and international conferences on the latest trends in teaching.
3) Dissemination of gained experience and knowledge through the use of eTwinning and creation of the dedicated website, allowing to share experiences about the courses, as well as gaining knowledge about obtaining EU funds.
4) Implementation coaching methods in the work with the students.
We hope that the measures undertaken will result in raising the standard of teaching, establishing valuable contacts and subsequently collaboration within eTwinning , and most of all will be the starting point in the next European activities aimed at preparing young people to find their way in today's job market.
