FINISHED
Hungary, as a member of the European Union, hosts subsidiaries of many international companies. The knowledge of students -who leave schools- will be only competitive in this market, if they possess language competencies, information technology and professional knowledge beyond the material knowledge . The main profile of our school covers the economic and financial area, which is an essential component of the modern world. Knowledge of the latest, most efficient methods also plays an important role in maintaining the economic efficiency of enterprises. We can fulfill the requirements of our age if our educational institution is able and ready to incorporate experience gained abroad in our daily teaching practice in a flexible way . An institution can only develop if there are possibilities for employees for self-improvement to acquire new, more modern skills. Fortunately, the majority of our instructors are highly qualified, they have at least B1-level language skills at one foreign language that would be developed with the help of the project.Six colleagues are involved in the project, three of them are language teachers and active members of previous projects, while the other three people are economic teachers, they would participate for the first time in this type of training. Colleagues participating in the application, would like to have job shadowing professional in the field on the one hand, on the other hand to expand their language skills.Education in Germany is much more practice oriented. In the field of dual training, the schools there have wide experience in a professional baccalaureate exam preparation and in competency-based education. Our school would like to study these methods and good practices and make them a part of everyday education within the framework of the national education system. The language courses also play an important role in improving the linguistic and cultural competences in economics of our colleagues. The new knowledge and methods acquired through job-shadowing will be shared with the colleagues at home in workshops. The aim is to work out how the foreign methods can be adapted to the domestic conditions and made part of the educational program of the institute. Improving language skills will affect the work of our institution in two ways. First, vocational teachers with advanced language skills will be able to use publications in their field in foreign languages. Second, students can be involved in studying economic articles in the target language. Thus, in addition to factual knowledge, practical and up-to-date techniques can be attained. Our dedicated teachers will take the offered opportunities and aim to return to their school with as much experience as possible. If our application is successful, our teachers will do their best to share all the experience gained abroad with as many students, colleagues and school partners as possible. Our school has a good relationship with the media (local television, newspaper editorial staff) and has an up-to-date website. That is why the results of the program can be easily disseminated to all the partners concerned. Before the implementation of the project, we already visited our partners, who are willing to host our colleagues. If our application will be approved, the colleagues will be prepared for staying abroad after signing the contract (professional, linguistic and mental preparation), which can be led by project leaders gained experience in exchange programs.
