The training course “Switch it on! Inclusion for teachers.” is designed to bring together teachers/education specialists(social workers, extra curricula activity providers, school staff, etc.) who works with students aged 13-20 on everyday basis. Sharing realities on the sitaution regarding exclusion in the local community/school, exploring the mechanisms of discrimination and exclusion and building common understanding on the needs and ways of promotion of social inclusion of youth with fewer opportunities through non-formal education, is the core of this training. Using different NFL methods and tools (disscussions, brainstorming, drama, self-reflection, creative workshops etc.) we would like to motivate and empower teachers to become active promoters of inclusion at local community (including developing ideas on how to share the gained competences with colleagues and wider community) what seems to be very important nowadays, especially in school environment and towards students with fewer opportunities. The training course has been planned to last 8 days (excluding travel), include 25 participants from 8 organizations in Programme countries (Latvia, Poland, Romania, Turkey, Estonia, Italy, Greece and Sweden) +3 trainers and 1 support staff (altogether 29 person). It is going to take place in Więcbork, Poland, 27/07 – 04/08/2014.
