From the city council of La Baña, we would like two young people wanting to learn and acquire important values such as tolerance and respect. Youth who want to develop critical thinking with their daily work and who want to strengthen their autonomy and initiative.La Baña is a rural municipality, located about 30 km from the capital of Galicia. The volunteers will work for a year in the following activities:+ In the department of Culture: working in the various activities of promotion and dissemination of the cultural program.+ In the Integrated Primary School and Infant School: helping with educational support, participating in activities.+ In the Point of Care for Children: assisting in the care of lower as of 0-3 years before entering the school.+ In the House of Culture and Municipal Library: raising awareness of EVS, with projections, storytelling ...+ In the computer room: supporting Internet users, with activities offered from the council.+ In the Social Centre and the Third Age: collaborating with recreational workshops, traditional dances, exhibitions, etc.+ In the Agency of Local Development: promoting the mobility of young people unemployed as a career opportunity.+ In the Municipal Youth Information Office (OMIX) providing information to the young people EVS and Erasmus + Program, creating a database of young people in the region to keep them informed etc.+ Social services: supporting active aging program, working with the family educator activities for reconciling work and family life, with programs to support immigration.All activities are developed from Monday to Friday with the support of council staff. The methodology is active, where volunteers work directly and can put their own initiative and ideas into practice.The expected results are bilateral learning, more tolerant and better prepared youth.
