The Asociación de Padres de Personas con Autismo is a non-profit organisation founded in Burgos (Spain). Burgos is the capirtal of the province with tehe same name in the Automous Community of Castilla y León. It is located at the North of Spain, at 980 m.a.s.l. Winter is cold and summer is hot. Ita has a population of 166,000 inhabitants.The most important objetive in Autismo Burgos is to promete welfare and quality of life of people with autism and their families. The Asociación de Padres de Personas con Autismo de Burgos manages 4 centres in the city: Vivienda "Casa del Cerezo and El Olivo", Colegio Específico "El ALba"., Centro de Día (for older than 18). The four Centers work in coordination: they do diagnosis, ambulant support, support, support to families, leisure and sport.The SVE volunteers realize activities of support in four Centrers, close to the qualified personnel. The number estimated of colunteers is 4, one for Center. They are long-term projects, between 10 an 12 months.The volunteers will acompany the users in tejir daily activities and interact with them facilitating their approximation and empatly.The daily contact with workers ans users facilitates the exchange of experiences, innovative ideas, new methods of work, complementary or alternative methods, new project and a lesson of disinterested labor.
