Within framework of the 6-days training course "Sustainable Project Management" Macedonian non-governmental organization ''Kvantum'' will host 33 youth project coordinators, non-formal learning facilitators and sustainable development experts from Serbia, Croatia, Bulgaria, Germany, Romania and Latvia. Learning program deals with sustainable project management - adopting organizational strategies and activities that meet the needs of organizations and its stakeholders today, while protecting, sustaining and enhancing the humans and natural resources that will be needed in future. Goal of the course is to improve project management practices in non-governmental and educational organizations, to learn how to adjust project management processes and methodologies in order to reduce ecological footprint and expand positive environmental, social and economical impact of the projects and events we organize. Participants will gain understanding about what sustainable project is and learn, discuss and elaborate guidelines on how to change and enhance project management process in order to enlarge positive contribution of each project in promotion of sustainable consumption and production, public health, social inclusion, sustainable transport, usage of clean energy, conservation and management of natural resources - adjust organizing and management practices from selecting participants, choice of materials, food, venue and transportation to understanding project's long-term social impacts. To enhance learning process, diverse methods will be used in the non-formal education setting: group work, discussions, problem solving exercises, various brainstorming tools, modified interactive lectures, field visits, case studies and audiovisual presentations.
