A number of accommodation facilities able to provide specific services for cycle tourists along the routes and deviations have been identifi ed and furnished with bike hotel kits in all the Sicilian Provinces involved in the project, as in Malta. Lastly, the routes have been intensely promoted at important European trade fairs such as the London Bikeshow, Expobiciin Padova, and the BTS (Borsa Internazional del Tourismo Sportivo) in Montecatini, where businessmen, tour and the cycling press were contacted. • 24 cross-border cycle tourism routes • 7 infrastructures brought up to date (5 in Sicily and 2 in Malta) • 70 accomodation facilities furnished with services for bike tourism.
