Survey of natural resources in the flood area of the river Tisza's tributaries for sustainable landscape usage (Landscape usage)
Start date: Dec 31, 2011, End date: Dec 30, 2012 PROJECT  FINISHED

The project aims to preserve nature by creating the reintroduction of examined species and cultivars. Habitat survey in flood areas of the rivers Szamos, Kraszna, Túr and Ér in Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg and Szatmár counties is to be carried out with special regard to plant and animal species cultivated and bred formerly. In the bonitation sampling area, domesticated plant species (mainly fruit species) are to be identified, propagation material is to be collected, and further in vivo examinations are to be implemented.General objective:Survey of the plant and animal species in the flood areas, determination of their diversity and species distribution. The main activities of the project are to survey the flood valleys fruit and vegetable stock in the sampling areas in winter, spring, summer and autumn aspects, to survey the flood valleys wild and domesticated animal stock and to survey the composition and dominance of grass species and to evaluate the weed contamination and weed-successions in spring, summer and autumn.Agriculture, together with landscape and environment protection, benefits from the reintroduction of the examined species and cultivars. These species can be produced in biofarms and serve as valuable raw material for process industry. They can also create a gene bank and can be used for breeding advanced, tolerant, resistant and marketable cultivars.
