The main objective of this project is to strengthen quality assurance centers at the Private Higher Education Institutions, which are established at some Institutions and for those where they don’t exist to be established. With the project is aimed to support the installment of the Quality Assurance at the eleven private HE Institutions, that currently represents one of the top priorities of the Republic of Kosova, more specifically of the Ministry of Education Science and Technology. Through the project within a mid-term period of two years can be achieved the installment of sustainable quality assurance system at all private HE institutions. This would enable to raise the quality in teaching, learning and administrations processes.Since assurance of quality for the Higher Education Institutions represent one of the weakest points due to the lack of experiences infrastructre, the project intergrates all these institutions.Through the project the ooportunity will be given to the private HE institutions for building QA experts by gaining the best practices and experiences at the EU Partner Institutions through attending different seminars. With the support of the EU Partner countries the experts will transfer their gained expertise at each home institution. Management of the HE institutions through participation in the seminars and study visits will be more informed about the QA real life aspects, its importance and the way of implementation. This way contributing to strengthen and support the QA in the same level at the same period of time at all Private Higher Education Institutions. Broader public of all Private Higher Education Instutions and society as a whole would better understand the role of QA for building sustainable institutions.After two years of projec implementation all Private Higher Education Institutions would have enough competences to self-run the QA Centres. The manual for managers will be drafted to serve as a document providing the basic information on Q&A and its relevance about the HE system as a whole. Guidelines development on conducting the QA internal self-evaluation will serve to all HE institutions to use a living a document tha will guide tham through an important steps and will let them to offer comparable degrees.Last, but not least the overall goal of establishing and strengthening the quality assurance centers at the Private Higher Education Institutions in Kosova in accordance to the Strategy of Higher Education of Kosova, as well as Bologna objectives would be achieved. And it would contribute in reaching the recommendations of the British Accreditation Council.
