Support of disadvantaged children in Phu Yen
Start date: Dec 1, 2011,

Project will promote inclusion of disadvantaged youth through participation in social inclusion workshops and will also help strengthen global solidarity through a creative intercultural dialogue between Asian and European volunteers. EVS volunteers included in this project are young unemployed people from Slovenia, who are facing economical and social obstacles due to their long term unemployment. In this project they will get an opportunity to develop their competences and self esteem, social sensibility and a sense of global connection of all people. On the other hand, education has always had a central role in Vietnam culture and society. It is seen as the avenue of advancement and families routinely sacrifice much to ensure their offspring get the required education. In this project EVS volunteers will help to facilitate social inclusion workshops for excluded children in the Highlands; prepare workshops for disabled children, create traditional playgrounds for local youth, teach English to children through creative methods such as outdoor activities, games, performances, etc.The EVS activity will last 12 months and will include 3 volunteers from Slovenia.
