The project “Suoni e colori dell’Europa!” will take place in Villacidro (Sardegna) from 2 to 10 July 2016. Participants will be 47 young people, Italian and Romanian, aged between 13-20 years. The project aims to encourage young people to integration and active citizenship, to promote peace, solidarity, respect for cultural diversity and to enhance the acquisition of new skills at personal and cultural level. The central idea of the project is the language of Art as thread that connects different cultures; music and painting as means to acquainted and to know Europe. This is a bilateral exchange project; the leader is the Association of Santa Cecilia Villacidro and the partner is Asociatia Tineri Parteneri Pentru Dezvoltarea Societatii Civile. The main themes are the social inclusion, the cultural diversity, the development of creativity and the active European Citizenship. The objectives of the project are: The development of intercultural dialogue and creativity, the promotion of active participation and youth social inclusion, the development of new personal skills for participants. It will be used the participatory method, feature of non-formal education, with the aim to create opportunities for cultural exchange. There will be times for study and comparison of their own folk and artistic traditions, music workshops, creative workshops. The method of non-formal learning will aim to create spaces where young people can share common experience, dialogue and reflect on the issues and acquire new competences. To complete the experience there will be a final concert and an exhibition of works created during the exchange.
