The core idea of the project is risk prevention, which concerns not only prevention of the loss of lives and property but also the preservation of artistic and historical buildings from natural hazards. Main project objectives: • Encoding and implementation of procedures for the structural monitoring • Seismic vulnerability assessment • Development of guidelines for strengthening and repair of the historical buildings (i.e. urban rehabilitation plans, wireless sensor networks) • Training of the technical officials of the regional authorities participating in the project, on the validation of the structural restoration projects and seismic rehabilitation of historical buildings
