Street youth work for Roma inclusion

The project “Street youth work for Roma Inclusion”, aim is to develop youth workers competence in using street based youth work to improve inclusion and active citizenship of young people from Roma communities.The training course will take place in Kumanovo, Macedonia 10-16 April 2012, and will gather 21 participants from 9 European countries (Macedonia, Germany, Italy, Romania, United Kingdom, Croatia, Montenegro, Serbia, Kosova). The activity will be hosted and organized by Streets Festival.The project will explore the themes of Inclusion, Roma Communities and Participation of young people, combining with topics of Education&Learning; Volunteerism and Human Rights within a framework of non formal education in order to provide the youth workers and organizations participating with tools and methods to practice street youth work and initiate and promote active youth participation of Roma and other marginalized groups within their communities. Finally after the training participants will be equipped to initiate and develop street based youth work activities within their own local communities. Each participant will design personal and organizational action plan.
