The S.F.I.D.A. project seeks to increase the standard of competitiveness of the industrial production system and indirectly in all sectors of the territories in the border region, by networking universities, research centers, science centers / technology and business. The overall project objective is to improve the level of willingness to innovate of local productive systems of the 4 regions, through the construction of integrated pathways for the production of new scientific and technological knowledge. The recipients are the small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) operating in the agro-industry, engineering materials, high-tech manufacturing sectors, information and communication technology, renewable energy, mainly in Corsica, crafts and construction. The planned activities include: • preliminary analysis to the creation of networks between research institutions and SMEs; • the creation of networks between research centers and science parks and technology aimed at exchange of experience among the R & TD • information / guidance to businesses to create networks between firms and research institutions; • the design labs and innovative clusters, in order to develop projects integrating the network of research institutions-businesses; • identification of innovative SMEs to support the search for external financial sources to cover projects of R & TD • Defining requirements and tools for the establishment of a closed-end; • business communication / awareness and website. Expected Results:  Potential for sustainable development of the productive fabric of the territories, their ability to innovate and the propensity of firms to be involved in commercial supply chains and more known  levels of mutual understanding and collaboration of research centers, scientific and technological poles and other similar entities, including cross-border, increased  propensity to innovate in terms of technology / business model by companies operating in the territories involved raised  New investments in R & TD in addition to the companies involved in innovation, the creation of functional clusters and cross-border supply chains in particular, stimulated  New investments aimed at introducing technological innovations such as raising the level of environmental sustainability of industrial production started  Capacity of SMEs included in the local production system of the 4 areas tends to ensure gender equality to its employees and increased  Sustainability of the economic effects of the project encouraged  Objectives, activities, results of the project spread
