Stories enhancing skills - A model for reflection and enhancing professional judgment in child welfare work

The project aims to explore methods to help social workers, especially within child care, to acquire the judgemental skills that are so necessary in their daily work. The process will be via a workshop situation where - through dialogue, reflection and "stories" - child-care workers explore their own experiences and enhance their own skills. The project will test a model of examining experiences for use in such workshops. With a quality-tested model, workbooks and a web site, the project will result in a better way to train child-care workers in the use of their own judgement. End users will be train-the-trainers educational institutions.
