The STOP & RESTART project aims at developing a model for used in the implementation of training programmes mixing traditional training methods with the Accreditation of Prior Learning (non-formal or informal learning) or APL. The method is expected to be applied with individuals unable, for any reason, to attend regular vocational training provision. The project will develop a series of CD-Rom and supporting user-guides, targeted to trainers and relating to agriculture and industrial sectors. Dissemination is planned through the publication of a project newsletter, via partner websites and in the form of a final international conference. The main beneficiaries of the project are those wishing to benefit from initial and continuous vocational training programmes with current difficulties in access to training provision.
