Steps towards a Network of International Youth Work Trainers
Start date: Aug 1, 2014,
End date: Jan 31, 2015
PROJECT
FINISHED
The project is a seminar for trainers working in the international youth field. There will be 4 full working days (22-26 September, 2014) and the activities will be based on non-formal methods. The activity will be hosted in Hungary.
The aim of the project is to improve cooperation between trainers in the international youth field.
We wish
- to establish solid, long-term, strategic partnership among trainers in the youth field on an international level
- to explore and discuss about trainer identity (who is a non-formal youth trainer?)
- to support the quality of international youth training by creating a virtual space for sharing, and facilitating the dialogue about quality in youth training and about trainer competences
- to create new partnerships and innovative projects, taking into account the economical and political context of different countries
- to discover the changes and the opportunities inherent the new Erasmus + program from the trainers’ point of view.
The working language will be English; the event will be organised by 6 organisations, attended by 28 participants (delegated by the 6 organisations)from 20 countries: Ireland, Slovakia, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Moldova, Germany, Romania, Portugal, The Netherlands, Austria, Italy, UK, Lithuania, Spain, Poland, Armenia, Georgia, Belarus, Turkey and Hungary.
The expected outcome and the main long term benefit is the birth, forming and solidification of an international network of trainers active in the youth field, which is beneficiary not only for the participants of this seminar but for the wider trainer community in general (with the help of online tools).
