The "ZSP Zelechow students' placements" project focuses on one activity: practical placements for students in grades II and III of technical school of Secondary School Complex Zespół Szkół Ponadgimnazjalnych im. Ignacego Wyssogoty Zakrzewskiego in Zelechow, Poland (ZSP) studying in professions: nutrition and catering services technician (20 students) and hotel management technician (20 students).During winter 2017 (February) 40 students will participate in a 2-week vocational placement in Italian companies (Sicily). Care of the students will take 4 accompanying persons.ZSP is one of four vocational schools in the district. In its over 70-year history school never participated in mobility projects or foreign vocational placements for students.ZSP’s Partner in this project is A Rocca - Italian organization acting in the field of training, professional development, social inclusion, prevention of unemployment and language learning. One of the goals of its activity is development and promotion of vocational training, mobility of students and stuff, intercultural education, consulting and management of EU projects implementation.It specializes in the activities of the Erasmus +. Within the Leonardo da Vinci Program, and currently ERASMUS+ A Rocca has prepared various kinds of placements for several hundred of students and staff from the EU Member States (including Poland).Vocational education in Poland after the reforms in the 90’s lost its prestige. In the Polish system of vocational training one of the most important problems is the lack of staff. The reason is that experienced professionals retire, without leaving any successors.The project implementation will positively affect on improving quality of education and qualification level of the Polish professional staff. Will promote international cooperation of Polish vocational schools and their students and will provide an opportunity to build long lasting relations. In order to ensure two-way information exchange participants will prepare a presentation about ZSP activity.Project goals:• extension of the ZSP in Żelechów offer – starting mobility projects’ realization, improvement of educational offer attractiveness,• improvement of students’ competitiveness at the European labor market (nutrition and catering services technicians and hotel management technicians),• preparation of good relations for further projects, extending cooperation to a new groups of employers where students can go for placements,• strengthening the staff and students need to participate in mobility projects,• increasing the experience of the ZSP regarding implementation of mobility projects,• strengthening of need to learn foreign languages and keep international contacts,• strengthening the positive image of the ZSP.Project results:• upgrading of vocational placements in ZSP, improvement of teaching methods and extending the offer of mobility projects,• increasing participants’ professional skills and social competences participants through placements in Italian companies,• staff experience improvement with the implementation of mobility projects,• increasing the competitiveness of the students on the European labor market,• improvement language skills of participants,• strengthening of need to learn foreign languages and keep international contacts,• strengthening the positive image of the ZSP,• increasing participants knowledge about Italy (culture, economy, landscape, infrastructure),• creation of professional and personal contacts by the participants,• the opportunity to learn and test new, innovative methods and technologies,• the opportunity to discuss and exchange professional experiences.Participants will receive a certificate of pedagogical/intercultural/ Language preparation, Europass Mobility, Europass Language.Material effects of the project will be, prepared by the participants: document "ZSP Zelechow students' placements 2016" and movie about vocational practices realization.Project duration: 12 months.
