The project "Internships abroad - the synergy of work, education and professional experience," directed to hoteliers, catering, economy, tourist and IT classes in Vocational School of Economics in Wodzisław Śl is focused primarily on professional and foreign language development of students. The main objective of the project is to create the possibility of acquiring new knowledge and skills and to broaden existing professional and linguistic competency, based on European standards by students from towns and rural areas, who are often in danger of social and professional exclusion. Implementation of internships abroad will allow the participants to gain experience in the foreign labor market, far away from national standards and stereotypes, improving the attractiveness and quality of professional services provided by them. The participants will have the opportunity to test themselves in new environment both in professional and private life. Through constant contact with a foreign language, both at work and out of work, they will overcome the language barrier and improve the language skills. Implementation of internship abroad will enable greater mobility in the students' professional life. During the internships 54 students of the Vocational School of Economics will be divided into three groups:- Group 1 - 16 people: 12 caterers and 4 hoteliers will go to France in September 2017- Group 2 - 18 people: 8 hoteliers, 5 tourists and 5 IT specialists will leave for Spain in April 2018. - Group 3 - 20 people :16 economists and 4 caterers will go to Germany in June 2018.Each group will leave for an internship under the supervision of two teachers from the school, whose presence is to ensure proper monitoring and security during the stay, which will assure high-quality of the internships.Internships in each country will last 3 weeks. This is the optimum time for assimilation in a new environment and learning new vocational and language content.Internship for group 1 will be organised by befriended school of Nantes in France: Lycee Professionnel Bougainville. They will organize internships for ZSE students in local hotels i.g. Radisson Blu, Mercure and restaurants: i.g. Oceanide, Les Candalies. Internship for group 2 will be prepared by the partner from Spain: Europroyectos Erasmusplus SL. The students will find them in institutions such as Abba, Hotel Shine Albayzin, Alhambra y Generalife, Hotel Palacio de Santa Inés, Granada City Tour and others. Group 3 will serve an internship at the Internationaler Bund in Germany - a reliable, long-time partner will organize internships, both for the group of economists and caterers. There, under the supervision of qualified trainers, students will practice at restaurants and a simulation laboratory of the institution. The main expected result of the project is to increase proffesional knowledge and language competence of students . They should acquire new interpersonal skills and cultural backgrounds. A very important element of the internship for the participants are documents they will be given after it. They will enrich their professional portfolio: Europass Mobility certificate together with certificates of organizations: receiving and sending. These documents are very important information about a potential employee, both on the national and European level.Vocational School of Economics will enrich its experience in the implementation of European projects and cooperation with new partners. It is very important that local employers also make commitments to the project. They have supported the school for several years in the implementation of actions aimed at improving the quality of empirical education. Students have the opportunity to observe and gain knowledge from the local work environment. They know the expectations set by local employers and can compare them with the requirements of European employers. Implementation of the project "Internships abroad - synergy of work, education and professional experience" implies a strengthening of the Vocational School of Economics as an institution that offers a European level of vocational and language training. The opportunity to take part in an internship and gain valuable experience offered by the mobility project will certainly be noticed by lower secondary school graduates who are willing to continue their education at the School. Vocational School of Economics have high hopes in terms of raising the level and quality of work in connection with business relationship with institutions from France and Spain, and strengthening cooperation with a partner from Germany. It is also important to deepen cooperation with local employers. These new aspects will let the school accomplish fully the European Development Plan.
