Stay in Action project will take place in Mersin, Turkey with 34 participants from 4 countries between the dates 16-25 October 2015 as 10 days including travelling days. Among 34 participants, 17 of them will be physically disabled young people and 17 of them will be one of their family members. Our project will give affirmative action to women and we will take the gender balance into account. the project will be organized by Engelsiz Yasam Youth Group. This group is composed of 10 young volunteers who met in seminars, conferances, training courses and are still active in local area as volunteers of Ebagem Assosiation. The main of the project is to use sports as a tool to promote the communication between the disabled people and their family members, by doing so to include the disabled people into society by using sport as a tool. To include the disabled into society and let them be active participants of it, family and the communication among the family members is crucial. The project will support the fluent communication and cooperation between the family members and disabled people by using sports so that disabled people could be more relax and active in the society and be the members of it who do not hesitate to actively join to society. The participants will raise their personal skills on sports and they will develop their soft skills, too; thanks to our activities adapting non-formal education techniques. These soft skills will be effective communication, problem solving skills, coordination of their body, team work and working in an international group. We will use non-formal education methods to enhance the communication among participants more effectively and fun and to raise the personal awareness on these skills at a high level. The project team will be coordinating for the whole project duration to have qualified project process. The expenses of accomodation, travel, food and visa of the participants will be covered by the budget of the project. The impact of the project on participants, local, international and European will be in a high level. We will make a cooperation with the Mayor of the city so that they will send us their press organs. The local people will raise their awareness on disability and the works with disabled people thanks to the news on the media channels. These news will be in national level with the help of our social media profiles which we will register with the permissions of the participants. We will also video-type each day of the project and make a CD of it including the media news and interviews with the participants and send these CDs to other NGOs in Europe. To watch our works and activities, NGOs who are working with the similar target group will find more energy and motivation in themselves to do better and more effective works in the future.
