Starpvalstu mobilitātes - mūsnienīgs īsceļš uz profesionālo pilnveidi
Start date: Jul 1, 2015, End date: Jun 30, 2017 PROJECT  FINISHED

The title of the project is " Transnational Mobilities - Modern Shortcut To Professional Development". The main aim of the project is to provide modern times education for professional development through transnational mobilities, which meets the competences that participants will acquire and improve during the project, relevant and connected to European Development Plan. The project activities will involve 5 staff mobilities to 5 different European countries and work placements for 5 students in England: for 3 carpenters and 2 dressmakers. The applicant organization is Balvi Professional and General Education Secondary School. It has 25 year experience of training carpenters and dress-designers, but currently it is introducing 3 new programs: catering service, heating and construction workers training. The school staff is willing to acquire the necessary new knowledge possibly fast by getting the best experience from Europe - by learning " hands on" - directly from their foreign colleagues. One of the main goals is to prepare qualified teachers, who will be able to implement the new programs at school by using practical skills of their international experience includingly. By shadowing their colleagues the staff will get much clearer idea of practical training process in the new areas. The teachers will get new cultural and communication experience which will broaden their views. This will improve the teaching and training processes and the climate in the school in general. For our students it has always been a problem to find placements for practice due to lack of big companies in our area.. As Balvi is a very rural area with small population, it is crucially necessary to encourage young people and raise their self-esteem by broadening their views through transnational mobilities. In addition to practical professional knowledge the school students will get an invaluable experience of applying their foreign language skills, great cultural and social experience. By giving them this wonderful chance we will gain the main goal - our students will be much better prepared for the real life in the future and will be tended to success. Latvia needs positively thinking people who will support its economy resulting in prosperity for the whole community. There are 5 project partners are 5 different ETN Network agencies in five different European countries, which provide management and organisation of transnational mobilities: - SISTEMA TURISMO in Rimini and Potenza, Italy, -BULGARIA GATEWAY in Sophia, Bulgaria, -TRAININD VISION in Portsmouth, England, -BERLINK in Berlin, Germany and - TRIBEKA in Malaga in Spain.
