PROJECT
FINISHED
After five editions of funding through the Leonardo da Vinci programme, the STAGE project currently joins INCOMA, the Teachers’ Training Centre of Seville and four other VET schools that teach the Middle Cycle grade of Mechanical Manufacturing at a Vocational Training level.
It is, therefore, a very specific project, planned with the goals of improving the student’s training in this area, provide updating to the teacher’s preparation, and establish the process and the steps needed to adopt a dual training system.
Participants will be hosted by two receiving organisations that are VET school in the same area of expertise and located in the cities of Brod (Croatia) and Forli (Italy).
The project foresees three different types of mobility and duration periods:
- Student mobility to equivalent training centres in the hosting country for a 2-week mobility period dedicated to on-class professional training and practical training on local companies. 30 students will participate in total (15 for each year);
- Teaching staff mobility from sending VET schools will complete a 1-week mobility period dedicated to the observation and analysis of the training provided at hosting institutions, the exchange of experiences and research and identification of good practices. 12 teaching staff members will participate in total (6 for each year);
- Teaching staff mobility from the Teachers’ Training Centre of Seville will complete a 2-week mobility period with a double objective: review and update the needs of training in this area in Spain; and observe the functioning of the dual training system, in order to implement it in the sending institutions. 4 teaching staff members will participate in total (1 per year per hosting country).
The planning, preparation, follow-up and evaluation of the mobility period is based on two main aspects. On the one hand, the trust on the hosting institutions, ie, two training centres that have previously and successfully collaborated with us and that will actively participate in the organisation of mobility periods with regards to logistic and academic aspects.
On the other hand, INCOMA’s coordination activities and the experience and tools we provide ensures a constant communication and a collaborative work among consortium members and hosting institutions. The INTERMOBILITY platform created by INCOMA will serve as a constant communication tool, apart from the meetings to be conducted during preparation and evaluation.
Furthermore, the STAGE project focusses on the quality of proceedings and results. The project includes the usage of several tools developed through previous research projects that will allow us to address key competences such as interculturality or foreign languages, by using efficient resources. In addition, INCOMA has developed its own management platform and social network presence that facilitates the process of communication, follow-up, evaluation and reporting.
