SPY - special project for youth; was a short term project within European voluntary service in which Udruga za mlade Alfa Albona hosted 4 young people with fewer possibilities from Finland, Portugal, Cyprus and France to volunteer in campsite Tunarica and in the town of Labin, Croatia from 01.07. till 31.08.2015. on International youth summer camps and on art and music festival Labin Art Republika. Project was focused on non formal education in the context of environmental and cultural education with a combination of different activities in order for participants to gain knowledge and to be able to share and express their views, experiences and opinions related to the project?s theme, but also to deepen their understanding about the importance of art, environment, different cultures as a resource for enhancing social and personal skills. Project provided youngsters with fewer possibilities an opportunity for participating in an interesting project in another country by involving them in various activities which have the goal to make positive impact on volunteers, as well as to give them possibility to work in multicultural environment, to foster social cohesion, be aware of European citizenship and their rights, foster their creativity and different skills, in order to prepare them for the future life and labor market. After returning home the participants were expected to act as multipliers of the project, with the task to raise self-confidence among youth, plan and implement local and international activities where young people will gain skills which are important for their future employment and in that way effect on reducing the unemployment among young people.
