PROJECT
FINISHED
In accordance with our quality assurance programme, one of our goals at the Liechtenstein Gymnasium is to improve our teaching through the continual in-service training of our staff. Foreign language lessons in particular should incorporate new teaching and learning methods.
The school curriculum offers students the option to finish school with a bilingual certificate (Matura). Economics and Business Administration is one subject which is taught in English and teachers should attend in-service training, in order to both improve their own language skills and gain more insight into immersion teaching. In England there is a special course for immersion teaching (CLIL = content and language integrated learning) and teachers should have the opportunity to attend this course. The benefits of attending this course should be evident in the classroom / everyday lessons. Students will give direct feedback to the teachers and likewise the teachers should report to the School / Senior Management Team how successfully the set goals have been achieved.
