This Youth Erasmus + programme will bring together, from 18th to 27th August ,17 young people from Bègles (France) and 17 young people from Collado Villalba (Spain).The theme of the meeting will be Sport and Co-education.The young people from Bègles are responsible for this project and the theme.The young Spanish people welcomed the Bègles people in 2013,so the latter have wished to return the invitation and make them discover their town as well as the surroundings.The town twinning committee:Bègles Fraternité supports the project and is responsible for the management.Four professional advisers from Bègles and from Collado will be in charge and will be monitoring it. Thanks to the common workshops and sporting activities,the aim of the project is to make the delegates think about their own practice and the vision they have of the importance of sport and of the relationships between girls and boys.The purpose is to analyse the obstacles to coeducation in sports and extra school activities of teenagers in France as well as in Spain and find a means to overcome them.The intercultural dimension will open up and develop the ability to listen to and understand other cultures.It will create a new social aptness for integration,team spirit,new skills to overcome difficulties.Their living together should strengthen their self reliance,enable them to face unexpected situations :debates about different subjects,discovery of the country and historical heritage of the region Aquitaine,and social and festive occasions.To reach that aim,the delegates will spend half their time as boarders in Vaclav Havel High School in Bègles and the second half at the sea-side in a camping place at Bombannes Natural Park. This project has brought together members of different organisations such as the youth department of the town and the twinning committee :Bègles Fraternité. They all tried their best to make it possible and we expect them to go on co-operating for new projects in the future.It will certainly be a great asset for the region.
