FINISHED
The project is based on long-standing experience of organizations, consistent capacity and mutual trust. The project offers innovative solutions for current and socially important youth problems and seeks ways to overcome them sustainably through active involvement of young people and innovative methods. As an organization specializing in youth, SC "Victory" discovers a drastic decrease in the desire of young people for physical activity and how this affects their physical and mental condition. With the help of partner organizations and the provided by them data and studies, a problem was discovered that on European level a large portion of young people does not have healthy habits nor key competences to help them improve their own living environment. Therefore the project treats sports and physical activity as essential to improving the health and welfare of the society and the need for parallel development of the social skills, the sense of tolerance and the prevention of risky behavior.Тhe project envisages the implementation of an intercultural exchange in which 50 participants, aged 17-28, from Bulgaria and Romania are going to take part. The exchange will take place in Sofia, Bulgaria. The project will include young people and youth workers from 2 countries which will realize the benefits and elements of a healthy lifestyle and develop competences and capacity to use physical activity as a tool for personal development. The training program is based on the exchange of informal learning methods that will stimulate improvement of learning skills, creativity and social competences. The activities involved will stimulate intercultural dialogue, active participation of young people and increase their awareness as European citizens. To cover all aspects of a healthy lifestyle, the program will include active teamwork, outdoor activities, and theoretical resources. The project will help develop social, cultural and language skills of the participants. Its effects will have an impact on local communities by raising awareness about healthy lifestyles, improving physical activity and increased youth involvement.Main result will be the creation of an integrated methodology for sports training and personal development of young people, which will be presented to those responsible for the youth policy. The positive impact of the project will cover many target groups both locally and in Europe, and create sustainable social change in the long term. Overall, the project will create valuable attitudes in young people to improve their personal development, increase organizational capacity through the provision of innovative and affordable training product and promote the possibilities of the "Erasmus +".
