Youngsters from Lithuania, Slovakia, Poland, Latvia and Turkey together with their leaders believing in ecological and healthy attitude, prepared the project ”Sport and healthy lifestyles ”. The project will be carried out from August to December considering 6 activity days during students`exchange in Druskininkai. This project is a review and a follow up of the previous youth exchange taking place in Slovakia two years ago about the same topic. The aim of the this project is to forge greater links between the young people of all the participating countries and provide opportunities for them to develop themselves personally, socially, physically, emotionally and mentally through sport and cultural activities. Young people will increase knowledge and attitude towards a healthy lifestyle encompassing physical activity and sport, and how to actively participate, and encourage others to participate also. Awareness towards different cultures will increase. Youngsters will find out that people have different interests, values and provision of sport and physical activities. There will be an improvement of skills and recognition of new skills by participating in new sporting activities and cultural activities. Knowledge and awareness of how to engage in sport and physical activity, how these can be made inclusive to all will rise. Opportunities to develop self-fulfillment and how to be better active citizens in our communities, including local national and International contexts will broaden. In turn, this will enhance social inclusion and more actively engaged societies. The project includes several workshops, presentations, thematic games, physical exercises, discussions, focus groups and inter-cultural activities together with evaluation sessions useful to reflect about learning improvement in order to help participants to build their own Youthpass. After the exchange the groups, as testimonials, will organize meetings with their local communities (schools and local institutions) to show and display the results of the exchange and the main goals achieved, present the methodology, tools developed, opportunity in Erasmus+. They will discuss future steps, define solutions for an efficient local policy devoted to youth well-being having the project as starting point. Project participants will be available to work with other youths to plan and organize new projects in order to achieve a long term exploitation of this project results.
