As a part of the project “Look into the future” 100 students of the Secondary School of Electronics (Zespół Szkół Elektronicznych) in Rzeszów will have a 3-week professional training in modern training centres and firms in the sector of IT and electronics. This training will be held in four European Union countries: Hungary (November 2014), Greece (February 2015), Portugal (April 2015) and The United Kingdom (November 2015) as well as in Turkey (March 2016). Each countries will be visited by a group of 20 students. The beneficiaries of the aforementioned project are teenagers living in comparatively low urbanized region of Poland, which is Subcarpathian Voivodeship and mainly in its capital city Rzeszów. There have recently been dynamic development of companies and businesses offering new technologies in IT and electronics (”Aviation Valley”). It has caused an increased demand for specialists in these branches.
The project fulfils the needs of: increasing chances of employment for our school graduates, shaping professional and social activity of the youth in European aspect, adapting vocational training to labour market requirements, making vocational training more attractive and encouraging in international collaboration.
We, as the sending institution are a vocational school educating teenagers in quickly developing branches of electronics and information technology. Throughout years we have developed extensive international cooperation mainly by organizing and accomplishing abroad professional trainings for our students and experience exchange projects for teachers.
The professional trainings will be held in well-functioning centres for professional education, as well as institutions and companies which have acquired experiences in training specialists for new technologies. All the aforementioned are also experienced in international projects.
The professional training in Greece will be organized for the second time with cooperation with European Center in Training for Employment. This as well will be a hosting institution for one group of our students. The other group will have their practical training in well-functioning Greek companies from the branch of IT such as Advena, ACP, ‘Hellas’ institute and University of Crete.
In Turkey the training period will be held by a modern training centre called Ostim Mesleki Egitim Merkezi in Ankara. This centre is well-equipped and has modern facilities for practical training. It holds trainings in a dozen professions such as electronics and IT. They are highly experienced in EU projects and have participated in LdV. This will be a continuation of our cooperation.
We will also cooperate once again with international training institution EUROYOUTH Portugal in Lisbon. This will as well be a hosting institution for one group of our students. The rest of them will have their training in firms Evolute - Consultoria informática, TECMIC and INESC-ID research institute.
Next group will held their practical training in vocational school Weiss Manfréd Szakközépiskola in Budapest. It will be another opportunity to intensify our fruitful cooperation in organizing and accomplishing LdV projects.
In the UK the practical training will be organized with cooperation with Tellus Group which will be at the same time a hosting institution for a group of our students. The rest will have their practical training in well-functioning English companies under the supervision of experienced specialists.
Aims of the project are:
• developing well-qualified technical personnel for new technologies in IT and electronics able to lead their own enterprise, fluent in professional English, easily-adoptable to labour market
• increasing the quality of vocational training
• intensifying international cooperation between training institutions and places of employment
Expected results:
• developing professional and language competences of ZSE students
• broadening knowledge in the field of modern technologies
• obtaining the ability to accommodate to working conditions and requirements of European employers
• obtaining the Europass Mobiliy document by 100 students
• increasing students' motivation for their activity, personal and professional development
• intensifying direct cooperation between European institutions for professional training and companies from Poland, Greece, Hungary, Portugal, The UK and Turkey
We as applying institution in precise cooperation with our partners will entirely and comprehensively fulfill and publicise the project with the use of verified tools and methods which we have worked out through years of mutual cooperation.
Fulfillment of the project will significantly influence and motivate comprehensive development of the students, increase their position on European labour market as well as their professional mobility. It will also enable our partners to increase the quality of education and its adaptation to labour market.
