The project "Spanish Culture meets German Kids" was established, to get children and their families as early as possible, in touch with another culture. We try to avoid rassism with this and teach european values. The european volunteers support the daily routine of the kindergarten teachers with bilingual languagelessons and cultural events. The two volunteers, one man and one woman, are from Canary Islands and 25 and 29 years old. They both studied at university. The project was implemented to force the intercultural competence of the volunteers and their surrounding, to bring "Europe" closer to their daily life. Concerning the long term, we plan to create strong and close partnerships with the sendingorganisations, to initiate future projects better together.
