Spaces for youth participation
Start date: Sep 1, 2016,
End date: Aug 31, 2017
PROJECT
FINISHED
The "Spaces for youth participation" project aims at encouraging participation of young people in society, by empowering them and by offering them spaces and the necessary support (information, contact with experts etc.). In this perspective the project offers one young volunteer the opportunity to be part of the organisational team of the National Youth Council, so to get an insight into youth work, lobbying activities and project management with and for young people. The volunteer will be involved in democratic processes on different levels and cast an eye on the activities behind the scenes of lobby work and project development. In a close-up experience the volunteer will be participating in the creation of projects and contribute in all the organisational phases, using different working methods ranging from pure participation to pedagogical games. Within the project one volunteer will be working up to 10 months on the overall activities of CGJL, mainly involved in the organisation of the “Youth Convention” and several activities of the “Youth Parliament” and "Citizen Rallye" throughout the EVS.
