Aim of the Solidarity to progress project is to improve quality and social life of elderly people, children and youth as well as social inclusion of elderly people, raising awareness of their closer and wider surroundings and especially young people about social inclusion, tolerance agnostic social inclusion and values as young people would be those who will implement project for elderly and powerless people as well as for other children and youth. Idea is to have social inclusion of elderly people from Vukovar together with young people organising different activities for elderly people while those activities and project would also have impact on EVS volunteers and youth from Vukovar, giving them opportunity to work on different issues and create and implement together different activities and programmes that would have influence on themselves. It is very important for us inspire young people to become more socially aware and socially engaged through different projects, foster voluntarism through work with elderly people, social activities and on that way, through voluntarism, develop skills necessary for labor market for youth (responsibility, punctuality, sensibility, communication skills, entrepreneurship, dvelop sense of values.Main project activities are: house assistance for elderly and powerless people, social activities for elderly people, social activities for youth, social activities for children, promotion of opportunities for youth – participation in organisation of events, campaigns and promotional activities for youth, intercultural evenings, EVS volunteers personal project – each volunteer will develop own activity in order to gain competences to directly lead activities, develop creativity and leadership skills. While implementing those activities EVS volunteers will get help from staff and local volunteers and mentors would supervise and help in learning process, promotion of project – promotion of activities on social networks and on-line communication channels for dissemination of results and visibility of project and activities. Project would improve quality of life of elderly people, children and youth in Vukovar, empower social cohesion in community, improve skills and knowledge of young people, increase creativity of children and youth, increase youth information about opportunities for youth – education, exchanges, trainings, camps, voluntarism - through implemented creative workshops, and strengthened their competences and knowledge as well as their experience; empowered young people for active engagement in community and motivated for inclusion in social activities; prevented social exclusion, marginalisation of elderly people, children and youth.At local level, project would have impact on beneficiaries themselves – elderly and powerless people, children and youth from local community as activities would be implemented at local level. Project would have impact on higher inclusion of youth from local community as EVS volunteers would be good example to young people from local community while working on intergenerational solidarity. Regional and national impact would be accomplished through visibility of project activities and promotion on social networks. European influence would be achieved by promotion of project and visibility through partnerships with organisations from 5 countries: Spain, Portugal, Denmark, France and Croatia as project leader.
