The Youth department in Elche´s Council Hall addresses, from a holistic approach, other services and programs intended to meet the needs and concerns of young people in their integral personal growth process, and in the process of emancipation. From this approach, and from the framework of principles and areas of work, such as participation, prevention and social inclusion, are running the service Youth Information and Counselling in various fields, the program participation and volunteering promotion program, develop personal and professional skills and Youth Centers decentralized. Tolerance, Solidarity and critical attitude are essential in the process of growth of the young, so it is also important to consider the knowledge and approach to other cultures and situations of poverty in the world. Therefore, this project is located in the awareness and education program development, which develops its action both in youth centers (4 centers in urban area and 5 centers in rural) and in secondary education institutes the city (13), supported by an active participation in a youth radio program made by youth for youth, with technical support from the council and other local volunteers who are active in this field of awareness of social inequalities and coexistence and mutual understanding between cultures. So it is situated in the Youth and Cooperation Department, from where this participation is managed in this activities and programs mentioned. We started with a project that engages mainly in the months of Februaryy to August, (from 13 February to 11 August), allowing also the relationship of this voluntary European volunteers of the "volunteers solidarity in the municipality of Elche", which will end in June also, living in fact, with two of them. This will also facilitate the incorporation of the European dimension in an EVS project Euromed.
