Context Our main project beneficiaries are children and young people in DGASPC’s evidence that find it very difficult to express themselves and very hard to motivate. These children hardly can be involved in an activity on a longer period of time and their attention level decreases more and more. We need to develop a simple method for the facilitators to implement and at the same time to be efficient, accessible and attractive for beneficiaries. Objectives Main objectives • The development of a new method of non-formal education –Social Photography • Cooperation in the European space • Promoting non-formal education Specific objectives • Participating in Connector 2014 Non-Formal Happening event in order to promote the method and the event. • Promoting a large number of non formal education methods towards the project participants which will come in contact with Connector+ event, a non formal happening. • Direct delivering the method to 7 associations and indirect to at least another 35 organizations through the participants • Building new partnerships between project partner countries and developing new Erasmus + projects through the project • Practice non-formal methods during the entire project Number and profile of participants In the project there will be 4 persons from each partner country, 28 participants in total. The participants wish to improve their competences in working with children and youth, to develop their own organization and to learn a new non formal education method Description of activities; methodology to be used in carrying out the project • In the project’s first 2 days the participants will have getting to know each other games, will form international teams and will be brought in contact with the city and local community. These will be facilitated by using activities such as energizers, non formal evaluation methods or interactive games (city games, board games) • Days 3 to 7 will be integrated in Connector event. The participants will start building the method in 8 Laborator+ sessions: they will be acquainted with international examples in which photography is uses in non formal ways, they will discuss the method in Erasmus + context and will experiment various techniques (photo voice for example). Day 5, within Incubator+, participants can be involved in other organization activities that take part in Connector and days 6 and 7 will be for the photographic documentation of the event –occasion for using the already discussed methods • Day’s 8 activities will be concentrated on developing a strategy to promote the project and the entire event (preparing an exhibition) • Day 9 is dedicated to planning new projects and strategies involving common directions in the Erasmus + programme and final evaluation; activities facilitated by the project team through non formal methods Results: • A new, simple and easy to use method • 28 youth workers capable to use and disseminate the build method • 28 active participants in Connector event • 7 exhibitions in 7 different countries which promote the project and Connector event • A minimum of 7 organizations that come in direct contact with Social Photography • A minimum of 35 associations who come in contact with the method in the dissemination process • Promoting the Connector event at a European level Impact: • Development of the 28 youth workers by their direct involvement in the project • Development of the participating organizations by assimilating a new method and by coming in contact with the Connector event • The partner organization’s beneficiaries will be involved in photography based activities that will impact their personal growth • The local community will be engaged in an intercultural dialog with the project participants
