Topic of the youth exchange is social media. Target group of the project is 15-20 years old youngsters who want to improve their knowledge about social media`s threats and oppurtunities. Project is directed for youngsters from rural areas and with fewer oppurtunities. Problem we want to solve is that young people are not informated enough about oppurtunities and threats of social media. “Social media- threat or oppurtunity?” is KA1 mobility project, a youth exchange which takes place 23-30 October 2016 inKõlleste Parish, Põlva county, South-Estonia. Main aim of the project is to rise awareness of social media threats and opportunities.Project has following objectives:- To teach young people how to use social media wisely and share information about themselves that decreases a risk falling a victim of bullying and cybercriminals.- To help create a positive image through social media- To improve social skills- To find new ideas and develop them- To empower young people from rural areas- Learn about other culturesProject partners are Macedonia, Spain, Italy and Estonia.All activities will be organized by using non-formal methods such as group works, learning, reflection, outdoor activities, role-plays, workshops etc. All activities are organized by Estonian youngsters.
