We aim to coordinate a 8 days of youth exchange in Burdur, Turkey. The main theme of ?Social Media-(e)-Participation" (youth exchange) project is firstly to create a common ground for the dynamics of 'Social Media' and then exploring the effects of it on our daily life, relationships and cultures. Here, we will relate proper and effective use of social media with European Citizenship. In order to achieve this goal, we will create Etic Codes of social media and we will find ways of dissemination of these results during the activities. There will also be workshops that will find ways to create opportunities for unemployed youth via social media and in social media.
During the project, we will use non-formal education methods, so that participants will have a chance to learn by doing and they will be aware of the process of learning to learn. Moreover, another method we will include in our project, 'Intercultural Learning', will lead participants to have a different point of view towards other people and their cultures. Also, they will learn new things about other cultures and life styles and they will share their own values. So, they will be individuals who fight against discrimination and xenophobia, when creating an environment for peace, youth in actions, international cooperation, active participation and cultural awareness.
In this project, there will be 5 NGO which deals with social media and youth actions. There are partners from Turkey, Bulgaria, ?reland, Romania and Spain. During the project, all the participant will be active and responsible for the activities. The dates of youth exchange will be between 8-15 August 2014.
