This project is an exchange between organizations in Iceland, Turkey and Bulgaria. It includes two young volunteers - one from Mosfellsbaer, Iceland and one from Istanbul, Turkey, who will spend 10 months each in Varna, Bulgaria. They will be involved in leisure activities, which Association FOR YOU organizes for children and youth in disadvantage situation, namely art workshop for youth, art activities for children with mental disabilities.Those are also the main themes of the project- leisure activities and work with people in disadvantage situation. Volunteers can assist the host organization in organizing various events, seminars and trainings, as well as to take part in their media coverage. Volunteers will be encouraged to realize their own ideas and projects depending on their interests. The main methods of work are acquiring skills through application of artistic creative work, team work and participation in various national trainings and international exchanges. Main objectives are the development of solidarity between young people from different social groups, including young people in activities aiming at social integration of disadvantaged people, fostering active participation of young people and their creativity and entrepreneurship. Additionally the project will promote understanding between youth from different countries, will introduce the youngsters to different cultures and will promote the volunteerism and the active participation of young people.
