Youth Exchange "Social concept of love: youth against terror (ism) was held in Slavonski Brod in the period from 01 to 09th march, 2016 year. Exchange was attended by a total of 40 young people from the Croatia, Turkey, Poland, Macedonia and Greece. The idea of youth exchange was based on the effective and efficient fight against all forms of extremism and the spread of radicalization in order to transfer knowledge so that society could continue to develop the positive values of democracy. Through workflow activities we have redefined the concepts of social responsibility and love going deep into the philosophy of love, solidarity and unity. Participants of youth exchange presented the cultural diversity of Europe, and their profiles and lifestyle have shown that terrorism and radicalization are not related to religion, nationality or ethnicity, and that is through the exchange of experiences, knowledge, emotions, and above all the coexistence of different cultures can remove conditions conducive to the spread of radicalization and fundamentalization in order to achieve global peace in order to protect human rights. By sharing, we tore down many stereotypes, especially about Muslims and refugees, and we have made a strong personal impact on each of the participants, which we actually achieve our goals, which were: 1. Through education to empower the participants to promote international peace and security with the aim of promoting and protecting human rights in the fight against terrorism which includes: • To educate the participants to practice tolerance; adopt European values and break prejudice in accordance with the directives of the European Commission • the participants on actions to combat radicalism, fundamentalism and discrimination, in order to strengthen European citizenship among young people and to promote EU values • Develop intercultural awareness among participants with a view to a better understanding of the social, linguistic and cultural diversity 2nd educate participants to promote mutual respect and prevent insults religions, religious values, beliefs and culture which includes: • To educate the participants to promote the culture of peace, justice and human development, ethnic, national and religious tolerance, respect for all religions, religious values and the protection of human rights as a tool for effectively combating terrorism • Active participation in society and initiate social change (channeling excess energy and frustration into positive alternatives to extremism such as social engagement) 3. Promote the importance of European projects focusing on lifelong learning and Erasmus + as a tool to create dialogue and social inclusion in order to prevent marginalization and sense of victimization that provide favorable conditions for the development of terrorism and extremism 4. Promotion of new concepts of social responsibility (social love) through active participation in society (voluntary work, solidarity programs, humanitarian work) Through eight days of activities the participants of youth exchange had the opportunity to participate in a rich educational program that was formal and informal character with specially designed methodology that is based on the promotion of positive emotions that are conducive to learning and exchange of experiences. As part of the exchange was organized a study visit to the winter transit center for refugees in Slavonski Brod. In addition to partner organizations, the project was supported by: Bebrina Youth Association BUM, Little children of St. Mary Magdalene from Slavonski Brod, Creative Association Bogatstvo u nama, the Department for European Integration Brod-Posavina County and the City of Slavonski Brod who also held a reception for the participants in the town hall . The fight against terrorism, radicalization and fundamentalization begins by adopting positive principles of democracy and respect for human rights, and through the exchange, we have shown that the coexistence and respect for human rights and respect for freedoms of those rights arising among 40 young people of different nationalities, different cultures, different religions and different points of view.
