Search for European Projects

So faraway, so close!
Start date: Sep 1, 2016, End date: Aug 31, 2017 PROJECT  FINISHED

The context of the project is that of the town of San Gregorio Magno (Sa), in the mountains of the hinterland of Campania, on the dates between 29/01/2017 and 05/02/2017. The background of the project refers to a community that is based primarily on activities related to agriculture, livestock and crafts. It is not very open to innovations and does not provide real alternatives to its young inhabitants. The objectives of the project are derived from this context; we want to show the youth that they can build a future for themselves in this kind of context if they exploit their ingenuity and artistic passions along with modern technologies. In this way you can bring the world into their country and exploit those who are its distinctive features. Alongside this theme we want the youth to compare with peers who come from the extremes of the continent and who live in the city; in this way we can also talk about Europe, its importance, its opportunities. The youth will also talk of Youthpass and Europass and fill out first at the end of the activities. The main activity will be the creation of a promotional video for the community of San Giorgio Magno; gain valuable tips from videos that we found on the net. We will have moments of dialogue and discussion on the themes of the project among children, with pupils of secondary schools, other associations and institutions. We will make visits to artisans and site activities, excursions to the Archaeological Park and Museum Volcei, in a nature reserve and to the neighbouring town of Buccino. In this way we will collect useful material for the promotional video.Participants will be around 51: 15 participants plus 2 group leaders by Association: are between the ages of 18 and 24 years old and come from Italy, Portugal and Lithuania. Work methods and techniques of informal and non-formal learning, learning from each other and actively participating in all activities. The results will be shown to the community of San Giorgio Magno in the final evening together with information about the Erasmus Programme Plus. We will use formal and informal channels to give prominence to our initiative, from the first to the last day of the project. We are sure that after its completion the participants will have a different and wider view on a whole host of topics: Europe, European citizenship, personal growth and initiative, ICT in the service of his ideas, the need to know how to speak in English
