The SMILE project is a European Volunteering Service, for 2 volunteers, realized in partnership by the associations CISS (coordinating and hosting) Palermo ( IT) and PARADA (sending organization) Bucharest (Romania). The context is related to young people and to their desease in Palermo and Romania. The two partner organisations collaborate and exchange approaches and methodologies about their work with youth in their territories: they are youth living difficult situations linked to several factors: the fragile economic context, the high cultural and geographical isolation, a strong level of social disintegration, lack of self-esteem and confidence in the future; such forms of desease often put youth away from the school and the formal education and does not allow them adequate access to information and decision making processes affecting them and affecting society in which they live. Very often young people from disadvantaged backgrounds, experience a personal marginalization that implies their non-awareness of global issues such as inter-culture, youth condition, environmental issues, etc. In particular those who suffer from different degrees of marginality cultural, economic or social not infrequently, do not feel to be part of a community where they can play an active role. The 2 volunteers will be selected among youth between 18 and 30 years, with a good motivation in doing an intercultural experience, available to stay out of their country for 6 months, good predisposition to the use of circus art in social work, it will also consider the social and economic disadvantage. The objective of the project is to promote the contact, the exchange of experiences between two young Romanian, the local young volunteers and the local community. The project is structured in three main activities such as:Activity 1: Coordination, identification of 2 EVS volunteers and pre-departure training;Activity 2: The EVS experience. Made in the city of Palermo for a period of six months. The youth volunteers welcomed by the mentor, will participate in an Italian language course designed for them. They will be incorporated in the host community by young people taking part in the activities of local promotion;Activity 3: Return of volunteers to Romania and dissemination of the experience made. The project makes use of the educational framework Erasmus+ that will be supported in the development of tools and in enhancing the skills of young volunteers and the dialogue to differences and interculture. Although the project will involve two volunteers the impact of the project will be far greater, both respect to the host community and all the people who will physically meet the volunteers, both respect the virtual community who will be able to follow the results of this experience on the web (social media, web sites, newsletters, blog and web platform childrencissong). The impact will be high even on the sending country, dissemination activities with different targets will allow a strengthening of youth mobility activities and a spread of the Erasmus Plus programme and its potentialities
