¿SMART?PHONE Youth Exchange came up from a group of youngsters who, after taking part on previous exchange “Hold On!” organized by TACC, started to debate about how smartphones and new technologies are being used all around the world. Starting from that premise, they started to work with TACC professionals in Espai Jove de Can Rull, in Sabadell. In that moment, after investigating, analyzing and observing the different ways to use technology depending on every country, and perhaps thanks to daily contact with Casal d’Avis users (youngsters and elderly people share every day the same centre in Can Rull neighborhood), the group of young participants readapted the main idea. Youngsters think that the differences between the various way to employ new technologies is not due to country differences, but it is due to generational ones. It means that if we observe day per day a standard family we would be able to observe that everyone, from the grandson till the grandfather, is somehow in contact with modern devices. This Youth Exchange, lead by TACC, can count on the participation of four partners coming from Greece, Italy, Bulgaria an Czech Republic. In Sabadell city there will be present 31 young people to debate about how new technologies are employed, depending on the age and birthplace of every user.Previous knowledge about this topic will not be compulsory on selecting participant profile. Selections will be held just taking into account personal motivation showed by young candidates.During the week which project will be on, the aim is to empower youngsters with creative tools.
